A key area of interest was the concept of "Nature as Infrastructure™ - integrating edible greenery directly into homes, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and public spaces as a functional layer of urban infrastructure. Rather than serving purely decorative purposes, these living systems can contribute to food production, environmental enhancement, and human well-being.

The exchange also explored how decentralised indoor farming could support Singapore's food
resilience ambitions by bringing fresh vegetable production closer to wherepeople live, work, and learn. Embedded within urban environments, such systems have the potential to complement Singapore's broader food security objectiveswhile reducing transportation, storage, and food wastage.

Beyond food production, discussions highlighted the growing importance of indoor environmental quality. With increasing awareness of issues such as poor air quality, formaldehyde exposure, and Sick Building Syndrome (SBS), innovative nature-based solutions
can play a meaningful role in creating healthier indoor environments. Through its Smart Eco-System, Singrass Global aims to combine edible greenery with measurable improvements in air quality, wellness, and occupant experience.

The visit reinforced theimportance of collaboration between academia and industry in developing practical, scalable solutions for healthier and more sustainable cities.
Singrass Global looks forward to further engagement with SIT and other forward-thinking institutions as it continues to advance its vision of Nature as Infrastructure™ for Singapore and beyond.
